Jessie Currie was a well known artist and illustrator for several publishers. She illustrated Nursery Rhymes of Olden Times for the publishers Jarrold and Sons, and produced two books herself, Sunshine and Showers Through Childhood Hours and Once Upon A Time. She was also a postcard illustrator for Raphael Tuck. Her European scenes were very popular and are still collectable.
Records show that she exhibited at The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibitions. |
