The Lytham St Annes Art Collection
About the Lytham St Annes Art Collection
This online catalogue, which has been generated by the Friends of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection, features the artworks held in public ownership by Fylde Borough Council (tel: 01253 658658 email: fylde.gov.uk). Research is ongoing under the auspice of the Friends of the Lytham St Annes Art Collection. Any additional research, updates and amendments are regularly added to the pioneering work of the Tagging the Treasures project. The Lytham St Annes Art Collection is amongst the finest town hall collections in the country. It is a unique and varied collection, born primarily from the proceeds of Britain’s industrial past and the philanthropy of affluent patrons who had moved to Lytham St Annes from the industrial cities of the North West. It tells the story of Lytham St Annes, its people, way of life and culture. Paintings by Richard Ansdell RA, Henry Fuseli RA, Alfred Elmore RA, John Morgan RBA, Federico Andreotti and Charles Burton Barber ROI are among the works reproduced. Collection Address: Fylde Council, Town Hall St Annes Road West Lytham St Annes, Lancashire FY8 1LW The Origins of the Art Collection The Lytham St Annes Art Collection has its origins in 1925.
