Below are some of the training and skills events that took place during the TTT Project
St Annes Library
Four  sessions were organised at St Annes Library for Taggers to meet Andrew Walmsley, Lancashire's Community Heritage Officer. Over forty Taggers attended and Andrew explained about the resources available through the Lancashire Library loans systems. Taggers had the opportunity to view relevant books, maps and directories as well as online resources such as ancestry and county records websites that will be very useful for research.

Research Resources

A compilation of useful websites was put together by the Taggers for other researchers to access. If you would like to add to this resource then please submit the name of the site and a brief description. Thanks.

Lancashire Archives

Taggers visited the Lancashire Archives Resource in Preston and were shown the variety of resources available for research. Neil Sayer from the Lancashire Archive Service provided examples of materials such as wills, electoral registers and directories as well as historic documents including parchments dating back to 1115 held in the archive stores.
