Ranald Rigby donated two engravings and two photographs on 23 December 1946, all of which are unlocated at the present time.
Both engravings are after Artist Daniel Maclise (1806-1870) and were often sold together.

RANALD RIGBY (1872-1956)
Ranald Rigby was born in 1872, in Leigh, Lancashire, to John Rigby, a commercial traveller and his wife, Ellen, one of eight children.
In 1881 the family was living in Salford.
They had moved to Barton upon Irwell by the time of the 1891 census, when Ranald's occupation was given as a 'chemist assistant'. In 1901 he was in Conway, Caernarvonshire, living with two of his sisters and was described as a 'commercial traveller'. In 1905 he married Mary Maud Ward in Barton upon Irwell and their daughter, Margery Ward Rigby, was born there in 1908. Margery died on the Fylde in 1933, aged 24. At the time of her death the family was living at 13 All Saints Road, St Annes on Sea.
Her mother died in 1946.
Ranald was a keen photographer and was a member of The Royal Photographic Society, exhibiting his work and winning awards for his photographs and lantern slides.
